The Good, The Bad And The Ugly!

Yes it's that time again!

As I am currently sunning myself (hopefully!), I have listed the things I truly think may have happened.

The Good
Has to be that we are away on holiday.  Resting, relaxing and soaking up the rays!

The Bad

We will (Andy and I) have had at least one bad head from all the free drinks, eaten far too much and done far too little!

The Ugly

No doubt we will have fallen out at least once over curfew times with Ash!

Hope you are all well and have had a good week.

See you soon, but hopefully not too soon!
(Nothing personal honest!)

And heres what last week held,

The Good

A four day week!
If only every week could be the same, mind you I would still want a five day wage packet.

Knowing that we off on our jollies this weekend.

The Bad

Having to chase my two up in order to pack, it turns into such a traumatic experience!
The Ugly

My eldest having to deal with a flood and a complete loss of electrics at my mother house whilst my mom was away for  a few days.
Bless her it stressed her out I can tell you.

Hope you have had a good week and that next week is even better for you.

Christmas Prep!

Yes I do know its still classed as summer and I've not gone totally crazy (that happened years ago!).

But whilst sorting out in order to make room for a long term house guest I have been forced to sort my gift cupboard.

Over the course of the year I buy things to give as gifts through out the year. It could be for birthdays, it could be for Christmas.

Most of my stash is safely stored in the loft, however the newer items that I have brought are still in what I would call my gift cupboard.

And I thought I'd share my stash with you, but there are rules....

You must not share this info with either of my daughters, both of whom still have a stocking on there bed Christmas morning and a santa sack under the tree, nor can you share this info with my nieces, sister or sister in law.

Do you pinky promise?

Ok then here goes;

You didn't expect not to see shoes did you?!

Leather clog shoes for the girlie, reduced from £35 to £5! Bargain!

For my girls and niece too.

Suede brogues and leather brogues, also £5 each for Ashleigh.
Pretty bag for my eldest niece, reduced to £3.

Lace footless tights for either Ashleigh or Kassie

Card holder for any of the girlies a whole 25p!
Thick winter tights, which to be fair will no doubt be used before Christmas, £1 each.

Tights for Kassie, £1 and socks for Ashleigh £1.
Sunglasses and cases both £2, one for Kassie and one for my niece.
Sweet jewellery for my sister, reduced to £3.

A selection of jewellery for Kassie, all reduced items.

Necklace and earring set for my sister in law, reduced to £3.
Make up bag reduced to £1 for Kassie, Socks 50p for either of the girls.

Shoes reduced to £8, scarf reduced to £2 and glasses reduced to £1 all for Kassie.

Eye brow kits each £1 and shadow kit also £1 for my girls.
And this is far from my whole haul either! The loft currently has two boxes full.

I still only buy what I know each person would like, as there is nothing worse than getting tat is there?!

It makes Christmas so much cheaper I can tell you!

So are you as sad as me or do you wait until November/December?

It's Nearly Holiday Time!!!!

Sunday sees us jetting off to Mexico and I for one can't wait!

I have packed the cases, booked the plane seats and as soon as I can I shall book in online!

My nephew will be at ours just in case anyone was thinking of paying us a visit, as will killer Whiskas!

He may look cute and cuddly but he's a ferocious beast at heart!

Before we jet off we have a night away in Cornwall.

I purchased, via Mr Tesco vouchers for "The no fit state circus" event at Eden project.

So as a pre holiday treat Andy, Ashleigh, her friend and I will be heading to spend a night in cornwall.

The Eden project is a place I have wanted to see for many years, so I am very much looking forward to it.

We return on Saturday evening ready to drive to Gatwick airport on Sunday morning.

It's soooooo EXCITING!!!

Hidden treasures.

Whilst I was sorting a suitcase for my youngest to go to PGL I found not one, but two suitcases fully of clothes in the loft!
Heavy suitcases..

At first I wasn't sure what was in them but on closer inspection I found masses of summer clothes I had completely forgotten I had!

So the other day I sorted them out.

Now I have one pile ready to eBay;
Lot's of clothes I no longer wear or need.

A suitcase almost packed ready to take on holiday,
All just waiting to be washed and ironed. Only need to add toiletries, undies and swimwear! Oh and shoes of course!

And another to put back in the loft.
Items I don't want to get rid but don't think I need them leaving out for now.
I may not want them this year, but I'm not ready to part with them yet!

l hope I may make a few pennies as well!

So needless to say I will be very busy eBaying over the next few days and I have decided to put the cash towards a new table and chairs ready for Christmas. A very nice find indeed.
(However it has made me realise how many items of clothing I have! Thankfully its no where near on par with my shoes!)

Oh No! I've Lost Count!

The stunning Vintage Vixen asked me a few posts ago how many pairs if shoes I have, as most of you know I have a shoe obsession and am meant to be on a shoe ban!

Well If I'm honest I had been putting off counting them as I knew it would lead to me having to sort them and be honest as to if I needed them or not.

Unfortunately my arm was twisted to sort the spare room as my nephew will be coming to stay with us indefinitely.

The mess looked like this;

And after a count of all my shoes (yes, I did loose count a few times) I had to admit to owning 97 pairs!

Ridiculous I know.

Not only did I sort my shoes but also the suitcases out ready for our holiday which were full of my clothes too!

Summer clothes that I put away last year and has never really surfaced this summer.

More on this another time.

So my question to every one would be;

What is your excess?
