Playing Catch Up....

As I am still off work (Minus pay I might add. Bummer or what!)
Today has been spent getting back to normal(ish).

How quickly you leave the holiday vibes behind, sad really.

Instead its been all about booking doctors appointments, rescheduling consultant meetings and scans.
Not to mention work.

I shall be swopping deck chairs for doctors chairs.
And the view is no where as good.

Fields for the lottie, which with a bit of luck if full of veg growing nicely.

But at least the company is still amazing.

Roll on the next holiday please.

We're Back.....

Oh my what a glorious week.

The weather was truly stunning.

And the break was just what we needed.

And I wasn't a grumpy cow once, even when I was in pain.

Now to unpack, put the washer on and clean the van.
Then hopefully catch up with all your blogs.
Hope you all had a great week.

Because I'm Worth It...

In the words of all the L'oreal adverts, thats exactly what I am.

When hubby came home with a sample of shampoo and conditioner from the new
L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology range,
I was more than a little excited to try it.

My hair still felt very dry on the ends, even after a good cut so I was hoping these might just do the trick.

And the smell.... its divine.

It most certainly didn't disappoint.
My hair smell and feels lovely.

What can I say... I'm just so worth it!
(Only joking folks)

Green Fingers And Florals...

Our conservatory at this time of year is full of plants.
Mainly grown ready for planting up at the allotment.

However I do also try to grow a few flowers in order to pot up the many garden pots and hanging baskets.
So much cheaper than having to buy them from a garden centre.

A few pots are looking a little worse for wear, however no one will take any notice when the flowers bloom I'm sure.

I even have a few watering cans to pot up after finding them in the pit of a garage, which should make a few cute features.

And if the garden is getting blooms then I see no reason why I can't join in to, with my flowery skirt.

Florals all round.

Febreze Sleep Serenity.....

Sleep happy project.

I am not the best sleeper.
I mean I can sleep as I'm always shattered, but I find it hard to get settled into a restful sleep.

A fabulous box of goodies.

So when the chance came to test the new Febreze Sleep Serenity range I jumped at it.

Three full size cans to trial.

Whilst I had been expecting 3 tiny sample size aerosols I was very pleasantly surprised by the box that arrive with 3 full size products in.
A milky hot chocolate, good book, silk pillow case and Febreze Sleep serenity in milk and honey.
All set for a good nights sleep.

So far the only one I have tested has been the Milk & Honey one.

Spraying the room to help aid restful sleep.

Not only did it smell divine but actually I think it may well have helped me drift of to sleep easier.

Following these 10 tips from The Sleep Council will help you have a more restful night.

1. Keep regular hours

Going to bed and getting up at roughly the same time every day will programme your body to sleep better. Choose a time when you're most likely to feel sleepy.

2. Create a restful sleeping environment

Your bedroom should be kept for rest and sleep. Keep it as quiet and dark as possible. It should be neither too hot nor too cold. Temperature, lighting and noise should be controlled so that the bedroom environment helps you to fall (and stay) asleep.

3. Make sure that your bed is comfortable

It’s difficult to get restful sleep on a mattress that’s too soft or too hard, or a bed that's too small or old. If you have a pet that sleeps in the room with you, consider moving it somewhere else if it often makes noise in the night.

4. Exercise regularly

Moderate exercise on a regular basis, such as swimming or walking, can help to relieve some of the tension built up over the day. But don't do vigorous exercise too close to bedtime as it may keep you awake.

5. Less caffeine

Cut down on stimulants such as caffeine in tea or coffee, especially in the evening. They interfere with the process of falling asleep, and they prevent deep sleep. The effects of caffeine can last a long time (up to 24 hours) so the chances of it affecting sleep are significant. Have a warm, milky drink or herbal tea instead.

6. Don’t over-indulge

Too much food or alcohol, especially late at night, can interrupt your sleep patterns. Alcohol may help you to fall asleep initially, but it will disrupt your sleep later on in the night.

7. Don’t smoke

It’s bad for sleep. Smokers take longer to fall asleep, they wake up more frequently, and they often have a more disrupted sleep.

8. Try to relax before going to bed

Have a warm bath, listen to quiet music or do some gentle yoga to relax the mind and body. Switch of the technology.

9. Write away your worries

Deal with worries or a heavy workload by making lists of things to be tackled the next day. If you tend to lie in bed thinking about tomorrow's tasks, set aside time before bedtime to review the day and make plans for the next day. The goal is to avoid doing these things when you're in bed, trying to sleep.

10. Don't worry in bed

If you can’t sleep, don’t lie there worrying about it. Get up and do something you find relaxing until you feel sleepy again, then return to bed.

Lottie Love...

Well lets be honest it has to be love.
Why else would you go in the wet weather to plant up the green house;

And weed.

Love is seeing the things you have planted grow, ready to brighten your home or enjoy on your plate;

I would never win any fashion shows in my attire;

With no make up and wellies.

But thankfully for me, no fashion police visit us here.

Hip, Hip, Horray... We Are Going Away.....

Its caravan time again.
This time a week here at Landam Bay, Devon.

Just hubby and I.
So I'm hoping that the house is neat when I get back and all the animals still alive.
(Not that I doubt the kids at all you understand, but things always happen when your not around)

I'm hoping that I will be if not pain free, a little less in pain, so I can enjoy the time with hubby.

Truth be told I have been a little grumpy of late.
And its always the ones you love that you snap at the most.

So whilst I will be enjoying glorious sunshine (yes that means it will probably bucket it down the entire time) I have scheduled a few posts to keep you entertained.

See you in a week folks.
