Tankering Tuesday...

Tuesday are my work from home day.
Image from funnyeyeforthecorporateguy.blogspot.com
And this morning I am glad because it is bitterly cold.

Poor Olive was iced over and frozen.

I do love working from home because I can be casual and comfy whilst working.

Nothing beats a trusty pair of jeans.

Hense the outfit.

Add a splash of colour to make you smile.

It has also seen many parcels arrive;

And the tree (finally) make its appearance from the loft.
(I wasn't looking forward to that task as we have had a wasp nest which has been quite active until this cold snap)

It means that I now feel a little Christmassy.

Even if I still have a few gifts to get!

Is your home all decked out with trimmings now?

And are you all ready for Santa?

Is It Really Monday Morning???????

Surely not!

Where did the weekend go?

Other than into a blur that is...

Saturday saw me rushing round like a nutter trying to get all the boring housework done first thing before popping in to get a few odds and sods from town with my youngest.

Never a good idea to shop A) on a Saturday and B) with a teenager!

Anyhoo we had to wait for her friend to join us so popped into the art gallery to stay warm.

Ashleigh found it hilarious that it had been Traced!

I also had a little time to be able to pop into the vintage fair and finally meet the beautiful Vintage Vixen.
What a lovely person she is, absolutely stunning and so pleasant too.
I hope I get chance to see her at one of the many fairs next year also.

Saturday evening we spent here;

For yet another Christmas do.

I will post a few pictures but really need to check that I don't look too awful first.
(yes it was a wee bit messy)

Our room was huge and the bed was so big it was ridiculous.

Sunday we returned home midmorning and just spent the day chilling before the family joined us for a roast.

So it really did seem to pass us totally by.

Hope you all had a good one.

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly....

Thank the Lord its Friday.

I seem to do nothing but wish the weeks away, which considering I am no where near where I need to be for Christmas is not the brightest thing to be doing!
As for this week, well here are my high and low lights of the week.

The Good
My car being MOT’d and not costing me a penny!

One perk of a company car at least.

Purchasing a few more Christmas gifts

So I might not be fully finished but it is a step in the right direction at least.

Ashleigh’s driving lessons

She seems to be doing really well, infact so well we are letting her drive the car!

The Bad
Insuring Ashleigh on her car

Gulp!

The Ugly
Insuring Ashleigh on her car

Yes I know it’s in both but its quite a cost, however it is a cost we had budgeted for. And the scary thought is it actually goes up when she passes her test!

How’s your week been?

Say Hi To A Handsome Fella...

I popped over to visit my niece the other day.

And it was lovely to have a munch of baby Max.

He has really grown now.

It definitely put me in a happy mood.

A Busy Day Or Two......

Gosh I didn't get chance to breath yesterday!

Scarf - Thrifted

So much for working comfortably at home.

Mac- Marks & Spencers outlet

My car MOT was canceled and then it was back on, so completely mucked up the planning of my day, but hey ho.

Today is yet more meetings, miles of walking and driving.

Hence the flat shoes yet again!

Tonight see's Andy and I at our first Christmas do this evening too.

Jacket - Thrifted
Dress - Oasis
Belt - Asda

As of yet I have no idea what I will be wearing.

It's a meal in a pub, so no need for real party wear at all.

Tights - Aldi
Shoes - Debenhams
I am just hoping I get home in time to get ready!

Heres To December....

A month of fun and frolic if ever there was one!

A busy time, but one I throughly enjoy too.

Coat - Primark
Scarf - New Look

Today saw the start of a very busy week.

Red coat to suit the season!

Meetings all day, then rushing home (these were taken on my arrival home hence looking a little disheveled) to change and fly straight back out again.

I look very serious!

All week is the same would you believe?!

Jacket - Next
Dress - ASOS
Scarf - Thrifted
Shoes - Debenhams

At least tomorrow will be working from home as my company car needs to go in for its MOT.

The reason for flat shoes?
I had to walk miles in order to park and then had to walk across a very slippery work site.
I was far from amused I can tell you.

We even have no less than TWO works do's this week.

Time to dust off those dancing shoes.

The problem is I'm not sure I will fit into any of my party frocks!

Finally It Feels Like a Holiday!

Saturday evening we visited the German market in Birmingham.

The sights were fabulous;

As were the smells of all the yummy food;

Even if it was very, very busy!

And a tad cold.

But finally it felt like we'd had time off.

Ps. Happy December.
