What Little Thing Made You Smile Today?...

Was it the weather?

Your outfit or may be your shoes?

For me it was this little fella.

Max, my nieces little boy.
His smile and happy persona is infectious, he really is super cute.

Mothers Day This Year Has Been Postponed.......

Well maybe not for everyone but for us it has definitely been postponed this year.
Only for a few days though.

Ashleigh is holidaying in Egypt, Kassie is working and Andys mom and dad are in Gambia.
So only my mom is around!

So whilst we celebrated for my mom, after all she is the best mom ever, mine has been postponed until next week.
When I can have my girls around me to celebrate properly.

That said I hope that all you lovely ladies have had a totally pampered day.

Hugs

Splended Saturday...

The weather today has been glorious.
Beautiful and bright.
Warm in the sun and chilly in the shade.

I managed to get lots of washing done, cleared the kids tv room and bedroom.
(Well half did the bedroom, its a scary place I don't mind telling you.)

I even planted yet more seeds.

I would have loved to have spent the day at the allotment, but no digging allowed orders of the doctor still.

Tonight we shall be feasting on homemade balti, popadoms and mango chutney.
Washed down with a few bottles of beer.
Nothing but classy me!

Hope you had a splendid Saturday too.

Home Alone....

Our house has been fairly quiet without both of the youngsters here.
(They are sunning themselves in Egypt lucky beggars)
Nice, but quiet.

Dress - Adsa
Top - River Island
Shoes - New Look

And today thats just what I needed.
With a tummy ache that's made me feel rather off sorts all I have done is watched pants tv and sorted/listed more items to get me closer to that 1000 items challenge.

After all one mans junk is another mans treasures, as they say.

So the total listed now sits at 238
Only 760 to go

And total money made at £526
(Two more items sold)
Not bad as at the moment it means an average sale sits at just over  £9.

How is everyone else doing?

Feeling Rather Green...

Green as in clothing not as in vomiting thankfully.
No toilet hugging here thanks.

Top - Oasis
Jeans - Miss Selfridge

Yes more jeans, but worn with a silky cream blouse they felt a little more dressy than just a tshirt.
Today Andy has had a second day off due to working Sunday.
Unfortunately we couldn't go anywhere as we were having a satellite fitted to the caravan and it had to be brought home for a few hours.

I'm so thankful the neighbours were at work.
The vans so large it blocked the entire driveway.
Oops.

Boots - Dorothy Perkins
After all everyday should have added sparkle to it.

I did manage to list yet more items on eBay today along with sending two huge bags of old clothes to the clothing bank and charity shop.

Cardigan - Asda
A gold blingy cardy to keep the chill at bay.

The clothing bank pays per kilo so it allowed me to add a little more to the running total, which has also been boosted from the odd eBay sale.

I might never be rich from these sales but its made decluttering that much more bearable.

Onwards and upwards.

Flower Power.....

Don't worry I'm not going completely hippy on you just yet, however that may well happy at some stage.

Top - H&M (old)
Jeans - New Look
Shoes - Dorothy Perkins (old)

For a day of comfort and just chillaxin my jeans are always a goto.
Especially now I can wear them again as my scar is healing nicely.

So jeans and a floral top have been todays uniform.

Andy has been off and had already done a round trip to Manchester and back first thing this morning in order to drop Ash and her fella off to the airport.
They're off to Sharm for a week of sun, lucky beggars.

Oh to lie in the warm sun for hours on end.
I will have to male do with relaxing at home on the sofa.

And an update on my 1000 item challenge.
Listed items are still at 218, leaving me 782 still to go

Parcel Time...

Is it just me that loves receiving parcels?
I don't even mind what's in them, as long as it's not bills that is.

And Saturday I received a parcel full of goodies from Savvy circle to trial:

Perfectly timed for Sunday lunch with over ten people attending.
The dishwasher was on 3 times in total.
(Due to the kids not wanting the wash all the pots and pans they had used!)

And the verdict?
I am very impressed with them but I must admit that at around £12.00 for a pack of 30 I need a lot more convincing before I swop from my own brand tablets just yet.
If they were on offer at the same price I normally pay they would be my first choice.

After all to quote a well known supermarket;
"Every penny counts!"

Red Sky At Night..... Shepard's Delight...

Whilst we were away we had the most amazing sunsets every night.

They were simply stunning.

We don't quite get the same view now we are back home.

I actually think I becoming less of a towny and more of a country girl.
We have even been designing what our ideal country home would be.
All fantasy of course unless we suddenly win the lottery.
(Might need to play it first mind!)

Added Sparkle today

Oh well, you can but dream eh.

As for today I have had the company of my lovely mother for a few hours.
Who came with a big basket full of crisp ironed clothes for us.
Marvellous.

Top - Thrifted
Jeans - F&F
Shoes - Office

As Andy is working this weekend and its our turn to cook Ashleigh and her fella will be doing the roast. And I have been told in no uncertain terms that I am banished from the kitchen whilst they do.

Is it wrong to say I am dreading the mess?

Sowing The Seed.....

As I am off and unable to do masses (which is slightly starting to drive me nutty) I have been given the task of planning the allotment planting, sorting and sowing seeds along with holiday planning. (that one I do like!)

So out come a few of the allotment books and a pen and paper to plan.

Along with the tubs of seeds and a list of what else is needed.

No fancy seed tins here!
It's not that I don't like them because I do, but more that frugal is better for my bank balance.

Whilst I do enjoy this part, seeing the fruits of your labour is always the best bit.

Due to my operation I am still unable to get stuck in digging and preparing which saddens me as I do enjoy the freedom and peace of it all.

Oh well, I have plenty at home with our back garden.
As our lovely ladies have made quite a mess in all the wet weather we had.

As for holidays, well.
Who doesn't love planning something nice.

I am hoping to book here:

Bath Chew Valley Caravan park which looks lovely.
And I am researching France ready for our summer hols too.

This new caravan will most definitely be worth the money spent.
Even both of the girls have requested a week in it.
What ever happened to "I'm never ever having a holiday in your caravan!"
Lack of money I suppose.

Less Thumb To Thumb, More Face To Face...

I hope you don't mind Carmel but I am borrowing your title as it hit I real note with me when I read your post.

Casual for a visit from a friend.
Top - Thrifted
Vest Top - Primark
Jeans - Tesco
Shoes - New Look

I, like most people, tend to keep in contact with many friends either via text or email.
(Thumb to thumb)
And don't get to meet up any where near as often as I should.
(Face to face)

So my mission today was to dial telephone numbers (well press call) and arrange to meet up with a few of my friends.

Hands on head to show you sleeves.

After all, I am off at the moment so its not a problem.
And the idea solution was to ask them all to mine for coffee and cake.

So baking has been done.
With a little help from my daughter and I am prepared for the ladies to descend on me.

And you know what?
I'm really looking forward to the madness.

And an update on my 1000 item challenge.
Listed items are now up at 195, I managed to add another 22 items today.
That leaves me 806 still to go

And total sales are still at £263.
No more sales as yet.

Time For Tea...... At Bettys.....

Now I promised not to do a photo over load of our time away and I will stick to my promise.
Just one little extra added photo to tell you about our yummy tea at Bettys in Harrogate.

Todays attire
TShirt - H&M (old)
Trousers - H&M (old
Shoes - Upcyled

It was very lovely in both setting, service and of course taste.

And whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the piano playing scores from Phantom and Les Miserables, Andy wasn't quits as impressed.
(As you can tell from his photo bless him.)

He made me chuckle with his "Happy Mothers Day" comment as the food arrived.

If you are in either York or Harrogate I would very much recommend the experience of an afternoon tea or just a coffee and a cake at either Bettys.

And an update on my 1000 item challenge.
Listed items are now up at 173, I managed to add another 30 items first thing this morning.
That leaves me 828 still to go
That figure is heading in the right direction.

And total sales are still at £263.
No more sales as yet.

And I'm Back......

We had a lovely weekend away but never fear Trayci's here!
(What ever do you mean you didn't miss me?)

Top - H&M Thrifted
Jeans - Tesco

Now I could bore you silly with shed loads of photos but I won't.
Just a few as it would be a very poor show if I didn't show you any right?

Whilst we had a great time I must say I was shocked just how much they charged to get into York Minster.  £15 each would you believe?
I nearly mugged a local for some id as they get in free.

But now as ever its back to normal, well sickie normal anyway.
Andy has a conference today, Ashleigh has dropped him to the station and will collect him later.
Payback for all the lifts we have given her over the years.

Ash has an interview later and as for me?
Well not a lot, just a little tidying I think.
(The house was still in one piece and actually very neat you will be pleased to know)

I will try to catch up with all you lovely blogs today as well.

X x

And an update on my 1000 item challenge.
Listed items are now at 143, leaving me 858 still to go
I hope to add more to that figure tomorrow .
And total sales are now at £326.
16 items sold over the weekend boosting the total quite nicely.

Sunday Smiles.....

Ok so a slight fib.

These were actually a gift from a friend on a visit to see "The Sickie" as she so loving called me.
Cheeky mare.

They are the most stunning colours.

In fact I was tempted to take them with me to the caravan.
(I didn't)

Hope you have had a great weekend.

Because everything is better in chocolate.......

When you have nothing to do the best thing has to be to pamper yourself surely?

So on Thursday I treated myself to a mini home pamper day.

First up was this dark chocolate mud face mask by Montagne Jeunesse.

Don't be put off by the brown colour this mask smells amazing!

And after 15 minutes my skin felt lovely and soft.

Next up was hair dye.

My hair is desperate to be cut and a colour is the one thing I make sure I do before hand.

Does anyone else manage to dye their head as well?
I'm hopeless for it.
After a soak in the bath I felt relaxed and happy.

And lastly the nails got painted.

Perfect for brightening up my day.

So whats your mini spar session look like?
And do you have any products that are amazing?
