Minion Madness......

Ok I know its sad but Minions from despicable me, really make me giggle.

I don't know what it is about them but I turn into a giggling girl and they make me feel all happy.

Not such a bad thing in my humble opinion.

So you can only imagine how I felt when I saw this on my drive home the other day:

Then as if by magic the youngest sent me this clip.

Well lets just say I was so excited for the new film.

All I need to do now is borrow a child to take!  Well I don't want to look too sad, lol.

A Birthday

Kassie turned 27!

I can't quite believe my baby girl is that age, nor that she ties the knot next year.

A Hen Party

My niece had a hen party to remember.

Next the wedding.

Redundancy meetings

Lots of my colleagues had them this week and it was horrible to see people you care about feeling so rotten.

The Ugly

Bye Bye Beetle

It's not ugly really, just sad.

Ashleigh sold her beetle, which was the right decision but we were all still sad to see her go.

Take One Dress....

 Out came another favourite today.

A monocrome pallet again in the form of a trusty old Asda dress.

 Layered up with an oversize cardy as it was freeeeeezzzzzing this morning.

I even had to deice the car.

Of course a poppy was must and it breaks up the black and white too.

It shows how much it gets worn, summer or winter.

 And thats just this year!

Do The Hump....

Wednesday = Hump day, or so they say.
And today is also Bonfire night, although we won't be out at any firework displays this evening.

After a busy weekend, what with the eldest's birthday and my nieces hen party this week has started quite busy.

And it doesn't show much sign of slowing down.

With Christmas being only round the corner as well as more birthdays, I don't think we actually slow down until January to be honest.





We are all on count down for our next family break which is Centre Parcs for Ashleigh's birthday.
She's so excited its untrue.

However we have a weekend in Blackpool before that to see the lights.
Andy has never been and although I know he will love time away, I'm not too sure Blackpool will be his cup of tea.
But we'll see!

Poked, Prodded And Wired For Sound...

Today has been a day of check ups.

Routine check up, so nothing to worry about.

Blood has been taken,

Blood pressure checked, along with EGCs and scans.  Plus an awful lot of waiting around.

That said I'm not knocking the good old NHS.  Everyone was lovely and friendly and of course unlike most other countries FREE.

This afternoon I even got to have a munch of my nephews little one.

And whilst it was lovely, I must admit it was nice to give him back when the crying started.

Think I've done my baby bit now.  That is until I become a nanny of course!
(Lets hope thats a while yet)

Take One dress...

No one really wears a dress once, well unless you are either very rich or very stupid that is.

And as I have said before the cost of everything including clothes have gone up.
Yes quality lasts, but cheap as chips also doesn't mean it needs to look like a bag of rags

 

Take this cheap sale dress.

Not my usual style but cheap enough to give it a go and bring it home with me.

 

A bit much in the stripe department on its own maybe but covered up either with a top, jacket or jumper its not quite so in your face.

Great for casual, formal or just chilling.

Perfect.

It wasn't till I went to upload these pictures that I realised this Sainsbury's jumpers seems to be getting a lot of love at the moment.

It's so comfy to wear and looks smart with my jeans too.

And of course I had to add a little bit of sparkle in the form of these new look boots.

After all it was an outfit for the weekend.
