Calm Before The Storm...

It always feels like a really random time this week between Christmas and New Year.

I'm not back at work fully but still have work today and everyone else is back to work full time or away on holidays.

And before I know it we shall we welcoming a new year in.

So that was Christmas

Well a bleated Merry christmas to each of you.

I hope Santa found your house and delivered you some fabulous goodies. I
 know our house was full to the brim with fabulous gifts for all the family.

And even now we are still eating the leftovers, after all nothing goes to waste here in Sperring towers.

In fact I am pretty sure we shall be dinning on them all this week, but I'm not complaining at all.

Thankfully I am off work for a few days so I have been able to relax in my dressing gown till late each day and do everything at a very slow pace. Heaven in deed.

No rushing off sale shopping here, I shall leave that to everyone else and order anything we do need on line instead. Not that we need anything to be fair.

Mom jetting off to Italy for Christmas

I know she will have an amazing time with my brother and his family but she is worried sick of flying. And of course we shall miss her over the festive season.

Birthday Time Again....

Where do the years go?

It doesn't seen five minutes since I had the bundle of joy.

And now her she is all grow up and turning 20!

Can't quite believe it to be honest.

And even though I've had to work today, (the joys of black Friday!) her dad has taken her out for the day and spoilt her rotten.

So tonight we shall celebrate with a takeaway and a cake.

Thank The Lord Its The Weekend..... Floppy Hat And Curls

I truly cannot tell you just how pleased I am it is the weekend.

I've had to work today and it's felt like a very long one.

(which of course it hasn't bean at all!)

What with a freezing start to the day.

(Yes I woke in the night and saw the snow that covered the car)

And bitter wind all day, my floppy hat was a welcome friend.

Accompanied with a few curls I felt warmer and brighter in no time.

Madness Indeed....

This week I took a meeting for my crazy team.

And whilst it may have been wet outside we layered up and took part in all sorts of communication and leadership games.

We warmed up with yummy hot drinks and thought about what we were thankful for up to this point in the year.

And of course we had to have our Christmas photo taken ready for our area Christmas card.

I think its fair to say we all had rather a lot of fun.
Even if we do all have a few sniffles now!

A Free Day Out....

We had a wonderful day out yesterday at the classic car and motorbike show.

Now I'm not going to lie, its not really my cup of tea but I have to say I really enjoyed it.

Not that I would have paid £25 a ticket, plus £12 parking!!

Crazy..

But we did see some amazing cars.

I was also shocked at just how many of these cars we have either owned personally or grown up with as a family car.

Gosh am I really that old that I'm getting to be a classic?

Lets just hope I'm a stylish one...

The Wonders Of Make Up....

What better to do on a wet windy day than to play at cream contouring.

Like most women I very rarely venture out of the house with out a speck of make up on, even if it is just a bit of lippy.

Let alone have my photo taken.

I am not saying for a minute we should all pile loads of slap on, in fact far from it.

I really do think natural skin is the most beautiful sight you can see.

And on my days off its is rare I pop a spec on, to my poor postman dismay!

Wedding Wonders..

On September 20th my beautiful daughter married a wonderful man, who I am so happy to call my son in law.

What a wonderful day it was.

The weather was fabulous and Kassie looked stunning.

Hubby enjoyed every second too.
And as predicted they both skipped down the aisle.

All of the bridesmaids looked beautiful

And it was nothing but smiles all around.

So strange to think my first born is now a Mrs...

Well heres to many years of happiness for them both.
