The week that was:

It's been an odd week.

As for the outfits for this week they looked as follows:

I missed my weekend due to sickness, which saw me hugging the loo!
However just before it hit this was my outfit;

Shoes - New Look

Top - Ebay
All a little beige reflecting how I felt!

Monday
I struggled through a heavy meeting still feeling a little green.
(and even though I felt ill I still wanted to look good!)

Tights - Asda

Bangle - H&M

Belt - old scarf

Shoes - Primark

Tuesday
I had to cancel a meeting I was very much looking forward to but due to being a 2 hour drive away (& feeling a little off colour still) was out of the question. Instead I worked a little closer to home.

Top - Dorothy Perkins
Skirt -

Shoes - Dorothy Perkins (years old)
I always think they look very 60's

Necklace - birthday gift from Florida Disney

Was a day to prep for my heavy week next week.
(As I was feeling better I dressed to cheer my self up!)

I love this dress however it is a little too revealing for work so I had to adapt it slightly.

Amazing what a cardigan and belt can do!

As it was St Patricks day the attire had to be green.

I love these shoes with the contrasting heel and sole.

Earrings - Gift whist in Hong Kong

Actually quite tiring!

As previously seen.
Trouser repeated!

Happy St Patricks Day

Happy St Patricks Day

Top of the morning to you! Ok evening.

Ok I'll stop now all that green is giving me a headache.
However it is St Patricks Day and I think we should  celebrate.
Am I Irish, er no.
Never visited there nor do I like Guiness, which if you suffer with anemia like I do is a bit of a bummer.
Still I shall be wearing green today, as I need all the good luck I can get and if I see you and you are not wearing green be prepared for a pinch.(tradition if you are not, so no pinching back!)
But many a good thing has come from the Emerald city,

Hubbys favorite tipple,

Pierce Brosnan and James Nesbitt,

Ronan Keating and Bono, (aka Paul David Hewson)

(Strange how this has suddenly turned into lots of photos of cute men!)

Masses of music legends;

  • Shane Magowan, musician

  • Sinead O'Connor, musician

  • Snow Patrol, rock band

  • The Boomtown Rats, rock band

  • The Pogues, rock band

  • Thin Lizzy, rock band

  • U2, rock band

  • Van Morrison, musician

  • One of the most famous play writers,
    Oscar Wilde.

Saint Patrick's Day is associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. But to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for worldwide.

So I would ask you to hold in your thoughts and prayers all those people suffering in Japan.

    So raise your glass to a year that can only get better and say an Irish toast ;

“May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.”

It's life Jim,but not as we know it!

Firstly a huge thank you for the get well wishes, whilst I'm still a little under the weather I am at least only hugging hubby now!

Ok I'm having a Star Trek moment!

Or that's what my hubby has told me and looking at my outfit I can understand why!

Compare the two and see what you think?

Thankfully there is not a Klingon in sight.

    Just me!

Dress - Top Shop, Boots - New Look

    And my bargain belt,

    Thrifted belt

Let me know what your thoughts?
And should I hand up my uniform, I mean dress for good?

So my dear friends in the words of Dr Spock,

    Live long and prosper.

A day of recovery. Health warning!

    Health warning!
    I have been unwell.
Yesterday saw me hugging my toilet more than my Hubby.

I can stand many things but being sick is not one of them.

But in true woman style I am up and ready for work as I have an important meeting I can not miss.

Do I feel up to it?
Hell no! But I have consoled myself that I can come directly home and go straight to bed!

So with a little luck normal service will resume soon.

Sweets for my sweet, Sugar for my honey.

On Saturday of last week I promised to make my family marshmallows. Something they have been nagging me for since seeing them made on some cooking show! So being the good wifey and mom I set about the task at hand.

I was amazed a how little I needed.

    (Note the trusty cook book!)

The glycerine sheets were most peculiar to deal with!

Quite simply all it needed was to melt it all to temperature,

Then add the egg whites and whisk! (this part I didn't photo sorry!)

    The result;

    Very yummy marshmallows!
It made loads, so I used a few of the left over ones to make sticky chocolate squares using cheerios. (on offer in Morrisons so though I'd give them a try!)

Sad thing is I can't have any!
    Roll on easter!

Have you made anything yummy recently?
