Oh No! I've Lost Count!

The stunning Vintage Vixen asked me a few posts ago how many pairs if shoes I have, as most of you know I have a shoe obsession and am meant to be on a shoe ban!

Well If I'm honest I had been putting off counting them as I knew it would lead to me having to sort them and be honest as to if I needed them or not.

Unfortunately my arm was twisted to sort the spare room as my nephew will be coming to stay with us indefinitely.

The mess looked like this;

And after a count of all my shoes (yes, I did loose count a few times) I had to admit to owning 97 pairs!

Ridiculous I know.

Not only did I sort my shoes but also the suitcases out ready for our holiday which were full of my clothes too!

Summer clothes that I put away last year and has never really surfaced this summer.

More on this another time.

So my question to every one would be;

What is your excess?

What Sundays Were Invented For!

We are chilling out today.

I might cut the lawn if it is dry, I might defrost the freezer, I might even do a bit of ironing...

But you know what?!

I might not!!

This is what Ash will be doing for most of the day;

One very tired young lady after all her adventures last week.

Think I might join in and pop off to the land of nod!

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly..

Yes another week has whizzed by and here I am looking back as to what occurred...

The Good

My baby girl is back home!
I collected her from PGL at 9am this morning and she has had an amazing time. She passed her driving theory test along with a mock driving test too! It just a shame she is 2 years too young to do it legally!  She also did a high swing, canoeing, archery and team building tasking to name but a few and made masses of new friends.

The Bad

Having my work laptop and bag stolen.  Yes it may have been mine or hubbies fault for possibly leaving the car unlocked, although both of us are adamant that we locked it. Still it has made me feel fairly sick all week, along with the things I can only list as UGLY!

The Ugly

Its been a stressful week this week, of many different reasons. (one which I listed as BAD!)  But mainly due to so many mindless thugs thinking they can do what ever they want with no consequences! The result was innocent people dying, it makes me sick to my stomach.  I truly hope that all of them get to pay for the damage, stress and threat that they caused.

Heres to a calmer week.

Green....

Now I love the colour green.

As I have said before it is a running joke in my house, snotty green.

So when I saw this is dress in the local CS I just had to have it.

I actually wore it a few days ago and have only just got around to sharing the photos.

Dress - thrifted a whole £2

I combined it with a silver bracelet and my new sparkly sandals.

Please excuse the hobbit feet!

You can't really make out here just how shiny the stones are, but I love them to bits.

I was most definitely a magpie in a former life.

The Disappointment That Is Me!

I am having a fed up day.

Why?

Well I am feeling fat and frumpy.

I ventured into the scales today as I felt a little porky and have put on 4 pounds!
(blasted ice cream maker!)

So as of today no more puddings, sweets or crisps.

The exercising routine steps up even more.
(Zumba twice a week, legs, bums and tums once a week and swimming for the remaining days)

This weight loss thing is definitely harder the older you are!
As a teenager the weight used to drop off now I feel like dropping instead!

Wish me luck!

Cropped Mustard.

Last week I treated myself to a new pair of trousers.
Top - H&m
Trousers - New Look
Shoes - Primark

Brand new, not another soul had owned them!

They were reduced in new look and being a mustard colour I though they would last me as it gets cooler too.

I had quite a day to be fair.

Whiska's decided to show me just how much he loved me by sharing his catch with me.

A poor bird!

I had a fair amount of cleaning up to do.

Bless him.

Start As You Mean To Go On!

Oh I fecking hope not!

Yesterday saw me starting my week on an all time low.

And heres why...

My bag has been stolen out of my boot!

The car was as far as I am aware locked and the bag in question was my work bag,

Including my work laptop!

Trust me thats not a phone call you really want to be making to your boss, especially the day before your review!

SHIT... Is the only word I can use to describe just how I felt.

I began questioning if I had taken the bag out of the car? No
Had hubby moved it? No.
Was the car locked? Yes
Is the car showing signs of damage? No

So after exhausting all avenues I phoned the police who insisted on coming my home to inspect the car. I can understand why, I couldn't lie and say it was damaged when it wasn't.

I made the phone call to my boss who, to be fair was very good about it and I contacted head office too.

The other things that upset me were the fact that my diary was in the bag and I live by my diary for all my work info.  Thankfully I was very good at transferring all this detail onto electronic calendars so I will still know where I should be when.

But  I also kept all my receipts  for claims in the diary which mount up to over £1,000.  Thankfully after a tearful phone call to global expenses they calmed my nerves and said they would try to sort it for me. A little human kindness still exists thankfully.

The morale of the story?
Leave nothing your boot!

So please keep your fingers crossed that this isn't how my week will be, that my review will go ok today and that I will be able to sort my laptop via head office...
