Mean Girls.... Well Mean Chucks Actually....

Whilst I was cleaning out the chucks today I hear the chucks going crazy in their run.

It turns out they have been fighting, well two of them have.

Poor attacked Chuck

I am not sure if it is due to wanting to be the boss or if they are just bored but the out come for this poor lady is far from great.

You can see where they have had a real go at her.

Even on the side of her head too.

I have separated them and will keep a close eye as to how she goes, it may be a trip to the vets poor girl.

Naughty ladies!

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly....

Time to reflect on the week that was.

The Good

No new is good news

I finally heard back from my second interview to say they still haven't made a decision.
So keep your fingers crossed for me if you don't mind.

Having Ash home safe and sound

It doesn't matter how old they are you can't help but worry about them.
Silly I know.

The Bad

A washing machine malfunction

My washing machine has been playing silly sausages and has had to be replaced.

The Ugly
Nothing!

Its a new year with a positive outlook.
May the rest of 2014 be just as good.

Gifts Galore......

Bless my youngest she arrived back from her Paris break with gifts for her dad and I.
(even though we told her "not to be daft" i think were the exact words)

She knows us well.

For Andy she got him;

2 french books

And saucisson, his favourite!

And for me:

Yummy Macaroons.

And a beautiful hand blown glass flower.

She brought it from Disney.

She wanted to follow the tradition her dad set from buying me one each time we go.

Thoughtful gifts from a fab daughter.

The First Outfit To Share Of 2014...

So it might not be the first outfit of 2014 obviously (I haven't been running round in the buff for the past week or so honest), it is the first outfit to share.

Exciting? Maybe not but perfect for the day ahead.

A day of meetings and travel.

How are you all coping being back at work?
Unfortunately I didn't take masses of time off over Christmas so I have been back for what seems like an age.

Still no news on job front and the interview I went for hasn't made a decision as yet so I can but hope that might turn out positive.

The Wonders Return.....

Our youngest and her boyfriend went to celebrate New Year in Paris.

The first trip for them alone and of course you can't help but worry a little whilst they are away.
Even though we had many a Skype conversation.

And this morning at silly o'clock they arrived home, they were very excited to tell us all about their adventures.

Its so nice to have them home.

A Repair In Is Order....

If like us you have been having terrible windy weather (and don't mean from all the sprouts either!) and lets be honest who hasn't, then you may have been lucky enough to get away with out any flooding or damage.

(My heart goes out to those who are suffering from terrible flooding)

And our tiny damage is just that, tiny but frustrating never the less.

This was the sight that greeted me as I walked to our allotment plot yesterday:

After a little hard graft it was almost back to normal.

Just a few pieces of glass to cut.
Keep your fingers crossed it stays in now.

After the hard graft it was time for a warm cuppa and a final piece of Christmas cake.

A Second Revisit......

As we welcome in 2014 I take a moment to look back at last July trough to December.

July 2013

We enjoyed a few days out such as the food festival;

And camper jam.

The weather was perfect to enjoy a pimms or two!

August 2013

I remembered to frame the face by giving my eyebrows some special TLC.

And we had a few great weekends away;

September 2013

A great week in Dartmouth.

October 2013

We had a few new additions to the family.

We had a great holiday in the Lakes.

A change is as good as a rest, or so they say!

The hair changed to dark from vibrant red.

November 2013

We celebrated Kassie's birthday.

Were as proud as punch at her graduation.

I had a hospital visit, just for a change.

Ashleigh celebrated her 18th birthday.

And I finally began to feel well.

December 2013

I had a great night out with my mom and sister.

I rocked around the Christmas tree.

And we celebrated a fabulous Christmas.

Now come on 2014 and all the excitement you have for us.
