Lights Camera Action....

Yes its been filming time again.

And this time ashleigh also go in on the scene.
The view from behind the cameras.
Ashleigh in the middle.

To be fair she helped me out as some of my volunteers had dropped out so she stepped in to save my bacon bless her.

Thankfully she had a great day and totally enjoyed herself.

A scary iPhone picture!

The only downside is I will now have to give her some money for helping me out.

Oh well it could be worse.

Reaching 100....

No I'm not waiting of my telegram from the queen,

I mean do I really look that old?

Second thoughts don't answer that!

What I am actually referring to is the fact that I have nearly 100 followers.

And I am well chuffed.

So once I reach said 100 I am going to do a thank you give away.

And a bit like the Olympics,

I have  gold, silver and bronze prizes to give away.

So if you lurk in the shadows click the follow button to be able to join in, after all the more the merrier.

I shall share the prizes when I get to the 100 mark.

As for my schedule today?

Well I am preparing for yet another busy week, seeing me travel over 800 miles across the 5 days.

I have filming schedules to finalise, training packages to write and even a visit about an extra job.
(Well lets be honest every penny really does count at the moment)

So make life easier I have pre -planned all my outfits for the week, weather permitting.

Done all of my ironing, gardening, allotmenting and even more cooking!

Gosh I have been busy!

Oh and did I tell you I am going on holiday soon?

What do you mean I've said it like a thousand times?!

Cheeky.

What For Tea?

I must get asked that question within the first half an hour of me getting out of bed.
It's amazing isn't it?

Luckily like most of yourselves, I do tend to meal plan in order to make the week go smoother.

After all there is nothing worse than getting home (which for me can be any time between 7-8) and then having to think about what to cook.

Last week I bulk cooked over the weekend so anyone could just pop something in the microwave or oven to heat up.

But for this week we will be lucky enough for Ashleigh to cook us a few meals, although I did cook this evening.

Tonights tea was home made garlic Kiev and home made chips with left over veg.

And it tasted lush.

Ashleigh is cooking tomorrow and we shall be having Mexican.
(thankfully she is a very good cook)

My one rule is that she can only use what we have in the house.
(well its not frugal otherwise is it?)

So I will let you know how it goes.

This week is a mega busy one for me with me dashing here there and every where for filming, writing, reports and meetings. But I am looking forward to it too.

Plus it also means its almost our holiday too!

Something For The Weekend?

That phrase still makes me giggle.

It makes me think of barbers.
(I wonder if anyone actually asks that question anymore?)

Anyway I digress.

Firstly let me tell you the wedding went really well.
Both bride and groom looked stunning and it was great to catch up with people I hadn't seen in a while.

We eventually got home around 1.30am, after the hours and forty minute drive home and were feeling rather pooped this morning.

So for chilling out and recovering from a stressful week and busy weekend, this was the lounging about outfit.

The top was an eBay special and cost next to nothing and the shoes are Dorothy Perkins ones from years ago, which again cost next to nothing.
(Just call me cheap!)

That is it was until meal time when the inlaws came for Sunday roast.

At that point I actually looked presentable.

The Olympic Flame Burns Brightly...

Yes today was Walsall and Wolverhampton's (to name but a few) turn to have the Olympic torch pass through.

And seeing as hubby also has a fun day at work I went in with him.
(It did mean I also got lots of my own work done too, so much for a day off eh!)

The torch was running a little late but we picked a spot and waited, after all I won't get to see it again in my life time I doubt.

Walsall was absolutely packed and had a great feel to it with strangers all having a laugh and a joke together.
(Even sharing cake too)

Eventually the torch arrived and was lit for the waiting runner;

And before you knew it had passed us by;

The streamer cannons were great touch.

After all the excitement I am now off to get ready for a wedding reception of one of my dear friends.

Till tomorrow.

Busy Busy Bee....

We have been very busy with the allotment what with constant weeding, feeding and of course the harvesting of goodies too.

Even if we have not been enjoying the weather the allotment has been pleased with the rain.
(although a little sun to spur things along would be appreciated next)

We have a never ending supply of lettuce;

Regular people have vests of flowers. Me, I have glasses of lettuce!

I'm very content with them, free frugal food what not to like?

Our mange tout are going strong;

And they make a great addition to any meal.

And the rhubarb is flourishing;

Rhubarb crumble, compote and rhubarb and custard cake will be made from this lot.

We have also been observing my inlaws as they retrieve swarms of bees which was quite an experience.

Heres Andy in his get up;

My inlaws have 6 colonies of bees now which is great as we are kept in honey, which as you know is expensive for the organic stuff.

It also means that we are supplied with bees wax candles too;

How sweet are they?

Providing Your Our Colour...

Just for a change our delightful British weather is quite frankly pants.

Big brown manky Y Fronts to be precise.

I was sure I needed to build an arc in order to get home from work this afternoon as one of car parks got well and truly flooded!

So in an attempt to brighten up my own day, (which in its self would be rather dull) I pulled out a colourful dress to make me feel better.

Nothing too special,  but enough to add a little brightness;

And I refused point blankly to add black tights;
(Although I did end up with dirt all up my legs due to the rain!)

Even though looking at the picture they really were needed.
(I mean those legs are far to lilly white!)
