Whiskas The wonder Cat.....

Or so he thinks!

This little fella caused my hubby a little stress first thing this morning.
A naughty looking cat if every I saw one!
Andy came down stairs to hear whiskas meowing.

He had only got stuck behind the kitchen cupboard! Lord only knows how.

Andy had to move the washing machine to get him out and he was covered in fluff!
(Whiskas that is not Andy!)

He also managed to pull if his collar which wasn't a bad thing as looking at where this has been his fur has come clean off.  It does't seem to be bothering but I shall keep an eye on it just in case.

A bald patch where his collar has been.

Silly cat.

Away Yet Again!

Oh the glamourous life I lead!

NOT!

I am yet again staying away from home.  This time due to Competition judging.  Every year our stores take part in a Christmas competition which could win them a nice amount towards there store funds, normally this goes towards a fantastic Christmas bash!

The next two days will see me out and about with my colleague judging the stores.

So tonight I shall be staying here;

The Premier Inn, Peterborough.

Yet again another hotel, which at least is free and a free meal too.
(There are always positives!)

Lets just hope I don't have any strange folk walking into my room this time eh!

Just Call me Barbara!

Why?

Well because that seems to be my new nick name!

Can anyone remember the good life?
(don't fib I bet you can!)

Well as I have been trying to live as thrifty as I can my new addition has ensured that I can now do it covered in mud too!
Just hoe (how, get it?) Andy and I look!

I am the proud owner of an allotment!

This is after the hard work. It now has a path (more to follow) and a compost bin.
Not a full size but a half and I for one am well chuffed.

We went to tidy it up a little, taking down canes that had once had beans on and dug over half of the ground.

Our findings were fab!

We dug up a sack full of white potatoes, half a sack of red and a bag full of swedes!

We also have masses of strawberry plants so I have taken a few runners off and popped them in the greenhouse.

We planted our freebie onion and garlic that we had given to us last week too.

I am a very happy lady!

But just because I have spent time covered in mud, it doesn't mean I have lost any of my passion for fashion! (my fashion that is!)

So here is my outfit for today;

Trousers - Pull and bear, (purchased last year)
Vest top - Primark, (old)
Cardigan - Bay Trading (very old)

I love the crochet detail at the back of the cardigan.

To keep me warm out side I added my Tesco jacket and my Primark scarf.

To finish the outfit a pair of pixie boots.
My eldest brought me these when she first started working years ago from Dorothy Perkins.

I really like the detailing on them.

And no, I didn't wear this to the allotment!

And inside it was this beauty;

Sods Law!

Blimey I have only just been allowed back behind the wheel and the minute I am I get a speeding ticket!

B******S!

Yes I was speeding, so fair cop.

And no, I shouldn't have been.

I was rushing to get Ashleigh from school as she had had a heart palpitation and wasn't well.
(no I wasn't tanking it, but I was doing 40 in a 30 and yes that is irresponsible)

So I have sent off my details, rather sad considering I have been driving for 23 years and never had any thing on my licence before and now I shall wait to see what happens.

To quote my hubby:
"You silly billy!"

Ho Hum.

Nothing much I can do now but wait and see what happens.

So I shall leave you with the daily outfit of a criminal!

24 Years Ago Yesterday.

A young 16 year old girl went into labour.

She was scared and nervous and wondered what the hell she had let herself in for.

Her father drove her to the hospital with her mother sat beside her calming her as much as possible.
As she stepped into the hospital her waters broke all over her favourite boots, gutted she was.

Seconds later she was met by the father of the child and they were escorted to the delivery room, at no point did her parents leave.  They paced the halls for hours not wanting to leave there baby as she was having her own.

Eventually they were allowed to enter the delivery suite to meet there granddaughter, my daughter Kassandra Nicole.

A beautiful healthy 8lb 1oz baby girl, with jet black hair and a healthy set of lungs!

So today I say Happy Birthday for yesterday to my baby girl.

Who would have believed that you are now 24?

And such a beautiful and talented young woman.

Even though times were tough as you were growing up, you always made it worth while.

I love you loads and I hope enjoyed a fantastic day yesterday.

You smiled as you opened presents.

Ate a yummy birthday meal.

Still snuggled up to mommy.

Laughed and joked with the people around you.

This time you opened your own presents.

And thankfully not a sword was in sight.

Both you and Ash still giggled.

And I am so proud of my little girl.

And as for my parents, well I can never thank you enough for being there for us both, never turning your back and being our rock. We both love you more than words can say.
