Meet Olive.....

Yes the weekend was a busy one for us.

It saw us travel to get Ashleigh's first car, do a little extra work and allotment like crazy!

So with our further a do here is Olive;

She's a beautiful 1974 beetle.

A unique colour, which we like to call mushroom.
(her previous owners called her Shroom because of this)

Her interior is bright red leather, stunning.

Most of the work has been done by Bentley and boy can you tell.

Ashleigh spent three colours cleaning and waxing it yesterday and also had a her first drive around a car park.

To say that she's desperate to learn to drive now is an understatement.

Hope you all had a great week end.

    1. It made me smile that Ashleigh chose the name Olive as she was very nearly an Olivia when she was born.

Hope you and yours are all well.

    1. Hi Anonymous (unusual name that?).

Thanks for dropping by. She is driving if, after all she needs to learn doesn't she? And so am I.

And to be honest I can only presume you are as aware of my financial situation as I am of yours.

    2. You write about thrift and penny scraping but buy a car that can't be driven. Sorry if I'm the only one who sees how mismatched that is...!

    3. Hi Anonymous,

      Nice to see you again.

You don't have to be broke to be thrifty do you? Surely thats not what its all about, or its not in my book. I don't waste money either, thank you.

The car is being used and shall be continually actually, as mine has just given up the ghost! Not that I should need to justify my actions to anyone other than myself, but I will for you gain a fuller understanding.

We each have our own opinion and you are welcome to yours.

    4. What a opinion! And shared so constructively too. Ahem. Seems I could opine you have better things to do then leave anon judgements on people you don't know, read by people who don't care.
