It was very lovely in both setting, service and of course taste.
And whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the piano playing scores from Phantom and Les Miserables, Andy wasn't quits as impressed.
(As you can tell from his photo bless him.)
He made me chuckle with his "Happy Mothers Day" comment as the food arrived.
If you are in either York or Harrogate I would very much recommend the experience of an afternoon tea or just a coffee and a cake at either Bettys.

And an update on my 1000 item challenge.
Listed items are now up at 173, I managed to add another 30 items first thing this morning.
That leaves me 828 still to go
That figure is heading in the right direction.
And total sales are still at £263.

ReplyDeleteI went to Betty's in York years ago back when i was a poor student. My friend and I shared a toasted teacake and all the waitresses must have been old enough to be our grandparents, proper old fashioned but lovely.

ReplyDeleteOh my god Trayci those pink trousers are lovely. Its funny I wear short dresses (well shortish) but I just would not have the confidence to wear pink trousers! Maybe I should get some and try it out. They look lovely on you x
