A Day Out.

Saturday we decided against climbing any mountains or hills and instead opted for a leisurely stroll around a local national trust property.

So off we went to Attingham Park.

On the drive to it the weather was awful, with rain lashing down. Luckily on our arrival it was dry and the sun decided to make an appearance.

We had a lovely walk around the mansion. My favourite rooms were the delicate feminine boudoir and the huge bright kitchen.

The grounds were beautiful.

And we even spotted a few deers too.

The flowers looks stunning,

And the memorial to the 8th earl of Attingham and his wife was touching,

I looked wind swept all day,
This was the best of a very bad bunch!

Hubby enjoyed strolling amongst the trees,
Here is pulling his best stern face

The history in the place is great.
This tree is 650 years old.

Imagine the tales it could tell.

It amazed me to see graffiti from 1943 and 1947 carved into this tree.

The view as walked back was stunning.

History just amazes me.
