My How My Allotment Grows......

Who would have believed that firstly I would have an allotment, secondly that I would enjoy it and thirdly I would have so much growing in it?!

It is looking fantastic, even if I do say so myself.

I now have my very own fruit cage, built by hubby and I.

It houses raspberries, gooseberries, strawberries, lettuce and even broccoli, purple sprouting broccoli and even sprouts.

We have lots of strawberries now beginning to ripen.

Pass the cream quick!

Our peas and runner beans are growing strong.

And our early and main potatoes should give us a great crop.

The greenhouse has two types of tomatoes planted,

Along with very healthy and tasty lettuces.

Chillies and cucumbers are also planted.

Yet more runner beans, along with sweetcorn, onions, butternut squash, parsnips and garlic

The make do cold frame has worked a treat and we have radishes, more lettuce and spinach.

Courgettes and broccoli seems to be thriving.

Mangetout, which is very tasty.

The runner beans are climbing the frames.

It is enjoying this wet weather even if I'm not!

Now all we need is a little good weather to keep it all growing ready to fill our plates and tummies.

    1. Thanks Gem. I can't believe we've managed to get it looking like this as it was a tip when we got it. Even the other folk on the allotment are chuffed for us. Hard work mind but also very rewarding. Not that I want to be doing anything in this weather.

  7. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. You've done so well, it's all looking fabulous. Your hard work will be rewarded when you're harvesting all those lovely goodies. You really can taste the difference in home grown produce. My allotment is suffering this year. It's been a little neglected and we need to put lots of work in to get it ship shape again.
