Holy Friday, Great Friday or even Black Friday.
What a strange names considering what it is meant to be about.
It is a solemn day, a day of mourning.
The day that Jesus was crucified.
You may or may not know that I am a Christian and have a strong faith.
I don’t go to church every weekend, nor do I ram my religion down anyone else’s throat and I have even been known to use far too many swear words.
But that said I do believe.
And today is a day that I always have deep contemplation about.
I shall attend an hour by the cross in my local church and every year this has such an effect on me, to know that someone died to make my life better.
Will the rest of my day be a depressing one?
Of course not.
I shall enjoy the company of my family; we shall garden, laugh, enjoy a home cooked meal and eventually snuggle up in bed.
I love the people who surround me, be it family, friends or fellow bloggers.
Life is a celebration and I intend to celebrate in style.
